2013 Tremont Farmers’ Market Vendor Application

Dear Prospective Tremont Farmers’ Market Vendor,

I am proud to announce that the Tremont Farmers’ Market (TFM) will resume outdoors in Lincoln Park Tuesdays from April 2 – October 1st. Shoppers and over 30 vendors will have the best conditions to sell and buy a variety of good food including fresh vegetables, cheese, eggs, coffee, tea, meats, baked goods and much more. Entering into its eight season, the market continues to expand.

The mission of the Tremont Farmers’ Market is threefold: to preserve the connection between local growers & artisans and the consumer; to educate consumers about the benefits of preserving local agriculture and using local products; and to serve the Tremont neighborhood by providing fresh, high quality, locally grown produce in an environment that fosters social gathering and interaction.

In 2012, the Tremont Farmers’ Market had a 67% increase in total estimated vendor sales of over $167,000 and placed second in Northeast Ohio for EBT sales. The summer market had a season average of 1000 visitors and an average of 1500 from June 12 – Aug 14. Last year the Tremont Farmers Market brought in $12,500 in our first sponsorship campaign. Sponsor logos appeared in Inside Tremont, which is mailed to over 1500 homes with an additional 2500 placed in over 50 Tremont businesses. Our social media and weekly email updates reach over 30.000 people. We also be flyer the area schools in both english and spanish with an outreach to 5000 students and their families.

Please look over the applications carefully as some changes have been made in fee structures, policy etc.

Consistency is the key to a great market for both vendors and customers. Our 2013 fee structure rewards vendors who are committed to attendance, and our market’s mission and philosophies – allowing all of us to make a fair and viable living. Rules & Guidelines will be strictly enforced.

Applications of returning vendors and new vendors submitted before Friday March 15th will be given priority. Returning vendors can expect an answer by email with 48 hours. New vendors may expect a 3-4 day turnaround.

Applications for full season vendors are due by noon March 27th in order to allow appropriate time for processing. If an application is delayed in being processed due to market issues, and you have selected full season you will be permitted to join at that price rate.

Thanks Jim! 216-272-3560
